Authentication System
A login system using sessions and protected routes. Users can log in, stay authenticated, access private pages, and securely log out.
Guestbook
A protected guestbook that allows authenticated users to post messages. Entries are stored on the server and displayed dynamically.
Custom Routing
Clean extensionless routes make the website easier to navigate. Pages such as /projects and /about are handled directly by the Express server.
Rate Limiting
The server uses request limits to reduce excessive traffic and help protect the application from repeated requests.
Server Statistics
The server tracks information such as visitor counts and exposes statistics through an API endpoint that can be used by the frontend.
